Approximately 25,000 residences in southeastern Queensland found themselves without power on Monday morning after intense storm systems swept through the area, bringing strong winds reaching 109 kilometers per hour.
Substantial Ice Stones and Widespread Destruction
Residents observed substantial frozen pellets measuring up to 7 centimeters in particular locations. The Bureau of Meteorology verified that various areas across the state had been affected by significant hail.

Rescue organizations handled over five hundred calls for help across the state, mainly for structural issues but also for collapsed vegetation and water accumulation.

Meteorological Predictions
Moist weather were expected to linger along large portions of the state's eastern regions this week as a weather pattern continued to pull in damp air against the coast.
Tuesday was forecast to be the wettest day, with continued thunderstorm potential predicted across different parts of both regions.
Health Warning
Health officials cautioned that there was an higher risk of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the countryside regions, especially given the ongoing climate situation.
This caution comes after previous incidents where comparable situations led to significant health impacts in the region.
